Profits from "Be A Light" will go towards music industry support charity MusiCares' newly-created COVID-19 Relief Fund. One of the most basic tools in combating the current coronavirus pandemic is the simple act of frequent, thorough hand washing. To help support this potentially life-saving habit, the children's entertainers at Sesame Street have just released "Washy Wash Song | How To Wash Your Hands," a short video jingle designed to encourage effective hand washing. In the animated clip Sesame Street star Elmo shows off some best hand washing practices while listeners are encouraged to sing along to lines like "move your hands and fingers in the places in-between, using soap and water makes your hands so clean." Product of the Month

In mid-March Spirit Of York, a Toronto-based maker of fine gins and vodkas, switched their distillery over from producing spirits to creating much-needed hand sanitizer during the COVID-19 crisis. The company, which is based in the city's historic Distillery District, has since been providing their World Health Organization-standard sanitizer to front-line medical workers and vulnerable communities. In addition, the hand sanitizer is for sale at their storefront for $3/bottle, limit two per customer, with all proceeds going towards local food banks via Feed Ontario. They've raised $10,000 so far. Store is open Tues. - Sun 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. — Aaron Brophy
