In remembrance of the 20th anniversary of 9/11, and to raise money for charities that grew out of the tragedy, more than a dozen top comedians will perform at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Sept. 12.

The NYC Still Rising After 20 Years: A Comedy Celebration event is the brainchild of comedians Jon Stewart and Pete Davidson, who will appear at the event along with Amy Schumer, Bill Burr, Colin Jost, Colin Quinn, Dave Attell, Dave Chappelle, Jay Pharoah, Jimmy Fallon, John Mulaney, Michael Che, Ronny Chieng, Tom Segura and Wanda Sykes.

“We wanted to put on a fun celebration to honor this great city’s resilience,” said a quote attributed jointly to Stewart and Davidson in a media release. “It’s nice to be able to do this with friends and people we love.”

General tickets go on sale at 12 p.m. ET on Aug. 13 through Ticketmaster. All proceeds from the event will benefit 9/11 charities.

All attendees must provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination from a healthcare provider and appropriate identification matching the name on that documentation.

James Dixon of Dixon Talent, Mike Berkowitz of WME, Tim Sarkes of Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Geof Wills of Live Nation worked together to bring the event to fruition.
