Cancer Bats frontman Liam Cormier discovered two things on his recent overseas tour: he has generous fans and small change adds up. The total amount raised for Toronto’s Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation was $20,157.

"I am so amazingly stoked on how much people donated and came together for us to raise as much as we did. I couldn't be happier,” Cormier told Samaritanmag.

At every show the band played in the UK and Europe — close to 40 dates — the singer asked for donations for the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. People could also donate online.

As a personal gesture, Cormier also promised to shave his head and donate his long rocker locks to a kid going through chemotherapy.

After he returned from tour, his head was shaved at Town Barber in Toronto.

“Scrappy the skinhead lived up to his word,” it reads on Cancer Bats’ Instagram.  “All those mangy locks got washed and chopped off to donate to kids going through chemotherapy. Big thanks to everyone who donated to the cause!!!

“Thanks to @townbarber and @kiwixdan for making Liam look so damn handsome!!! #liamsheadshaveforcancer #pmcf #cancerbats #fuckcancer

Cormier didn’t confirm he will be growing his hair long again. He told Samaritanmag, "I'm just going to take it one day at a time."

For the cheque presentation to Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, the Instagram post reads:

Holy moly!!! $20,157.26 raised and donated to @thepmcf Thanks to everyone who threw in a pound, a euro , a kroner, a zloty, a franc, or donated online. Y'all should be very pleased with yourselves!!!! This is truly amazing!!! We have the best fans!!!!!
