Alexisonfire Donating Heartskull Mask Proceeds To Unison Benevolent Fund

Canadian post-hardcore band Alexisonfire is donating all the proceeds from sales of its “Heartskull” masks to Unison Benevlolent Fund, a non-profit, registered charity that provides counselling and emergency relief services to members of the Canadian music community.

“wash your hands and wear a mask,” read a tweet on the Alexisonfire Twitter feed promoting COVID-19 prevention measures. “stay safe.” The mask sells for $18 on the band's web site.

"One Size Fits Most - 2 Ply Non-Medical Grade Reusable - Machine Washable; Made with genuine 3mm elastic and a nose wire. All face mask sales are final and non-returnable," it says.

The fund provides emergency financial support to Canadian music-makers recovering from an illness, injury or other circumstances that result in an inability to work, or severe economic or personal hardship.

Through voluntary and confidential support services, eligible Canadian music-makers are able to access qualified professionals who can provide counselling and other resources to support individuals and their immediate family members dealing with mental health, legal guidance, family and relationships counselling, or work-related concerns.

Unison Benevolent Fund is funded by support from individuals and industry organizations. All services and information are provided in English and French.
