The multi-platinum-selling singer-pianist will appear live from home during CNN's Global Town Hall hosted by Anderson Cooper and Dr Sanjay Gupta, which addresses the latest questions and concerns in the fight against COVID-19.
Keys originally co-wrote “Good Job” last year (with husband/producer Swizz Beatz, producer The-Dream, and Avery Chambliss) recognize and celebrate unsung heroes in her life especially her mother who "she watched struggle as a single woman in New York’s Hell’s Kitchen," and many others who she felt were often overlooked. In the wake of the current global pandemic, she realized her message also fit the moment.
“Whether you’re on the front lines at the hospitals, balancing work, family and homeschool teaching, delivering mail, packages, or food, or facing other personal difficulties because of COVID-19, I feel you. You are seen, loved and deeply appreciated,” said Keys in a statement.
“Good Job” will also be the theme for new CNN Heroes, which launches Friday, April 24. The campaign celebrates the ordinary people who’ve emerged as heroes during the COVID-19 crisis. Viewers and users will also be invited to share pictures and videos of individuals from their communities who are doing a good job to make the world a “better, safer and healthier place.” Each week CNN will recognize some these everyday heroes across its TV, digital and social channels.
