Mega rap star Kanye West once said that "inspiring people is the definition of success."
The "Stronger" and "Power" hit-maker reinforced that belief recently when he gifted 21-year-old Denver, Colorado man Tyler Wesley with a complimentary pair of West's exclusive Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Cream White" shoes. Wesley is paralyzed from the neck down after a roll over car accident in 2012 left him with a C-4 vertebrae break.
Told by his doctors he was never going to walk again, Wesley has relearned to stand on his own and can take steps with the aid of his walker. He posts his progress as well as positive messages on his social media accounts.
His perseverance clearly affected West. The musician sent Wesley a hand-written note to accompany the complimentary shoes.
"Tyler, you are an inspiration," the note reads. "You show the world anything is possible. Thank you for sharing your journey."
Wesley documents his progress online to show people what it's like to have a paralyzing injury like his.
