Two Day Online Great Canadian Flood Relief Concert To Aid Both Coasts

Major flooding has recently taken place on Canada’s west and east coasts and a two-day online music fundraiser will help support victims of the respective deluges.

Jason Brown, Derek Bird, Robert Campbell and Sondra Rutman are the driving forces behind Great Canadian Flood Relief, and they’ve attracted a large lineup of Canadian performers from across the country to contribute their time, talents and hearts to the cause.

Participating artists are Odds, Alex Cuba, Lenny Gallant, Bill Henderson, Danny Michel, Shari Ulrich, Kubasonics, Asif Illyas, Bill Jardine, Brooklyn Blackmore, Bukola Balogun, Craig Cardiff, Alan Siliboy, Dave Carroll, David Gogo, DeeDee Austin, Erin Costelo, Harry Manx, Ian Sherwood, James Keelaghan, Keith Mullins, Keonte Beals, Steve Dawson & Allison Russell, Matt Masters, Melissa Endean, Doug Cox & Shawn Hill,  Morgan Toney,  Paul Pigat, Cannery Row, Quote The Raven, Ranj Singh, Reid Jamieson, Terra Spencer and Stone Poets.

Performances will take place on Dec. 19 and 20 at 2 p.m. Pacific time (6 p.m. Atlantic time) on the Great Canadian Flood Relief website and Facebook page.

Several sponsors have contributed to Great Canadian Flood Relief and individuals are invited to donate money to help the Canadian Red Cross in its ongoing relief efforts.

The Canadian Red Cross provides Canadians with tools and skilled responders preparing for, responding to and recovering from disasters. Its thousands of volunteers across the country undergo training to be able to provide security and comfort during times of disaster and are able to offer assistance with: family reunification; emergency lodging, food and clothing; personal services; reception; and information.
