For Toronto-area fans of the daytime television drama The Young And The Restless these nagging plot questions may be less important in the coming days than the knowledge that some Y&Rers will be amongst them.
Y&R actors Christian LeBlanc (Michael Baldwin), Scott Elrod (Joe Clark) and Sean Carrigan (Dr. Ben “Stitch” Rayburn) will be in Toronto on Sept. 3 for a special charity event to support Markham Stouffville Hospital's Breast Health Centre and Chemotherapy Clinic.
Aldo and Linda Scopazzi are presenting the evening. It's the first time Aldo, the owner of W.A.C. Hair group, and Linda, an investment specialist, are attempting a gala of this nature so their fundraising goals are modest for the event. That said, they've supported the Markham Stouffville Hospital frequently over the years. And with good reason.
"Two of our daughters were born at this hospital and two of our four daughters, as well as Aldo, suffered some serious illnesses and MSH's fast diagnosis and protocol saved them," said Linda in a press release.
The hospital's Breast Health Centre provides screenings, assessments, mammograms, biopsies as well as educational resources for patients.
The exclusive Night with the Stars gala will take place at The Grand Luxe Event Boutique in Toronto. Tickets start at $225 each. VIP ticket purchasers and gold event sponsors will also have the opportunity to have an intimate dinner with the stars on Friday, Sept. 4.
